Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use the Islamic Wills website, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our commitment
We aim to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Accessibility is something we review as the site grows, not a one-off task.
What we have done
- Used clear, semantic HTML so the structure makes sense to screen readers.
- Added a “skip to main content” link for keyboard users.
- Checked colour contrast against WCAG 2.1 AA across our brand palette.
- Made the site keyboard navigable, with a visible focus indicator.
- Written meaningful text alternatives for images that carry meaning.
- Used responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known limitations
We are honest about where we are still improving. We are aware of the following.
- Some content is being migrated from our previous website and is still being reviewed for full accessibility.
- Where we embed third-party tools, such as payment or scheduling widgets, we cannot always control their accessibility, but we choose providers with accessibility in mind.
How we test
We use a mix of automated and manual checks, including automated tools such as axe, plus manual keyboard navigation and screen-reader spot checks.
