About Us

A Message from the Founders

As-salamu alaikum,

We’re a group of British Muslims working across social enterprise, charity, and digital marketing, united by a mission to serve our community. One issue keeps coming up: many Muslims still don’t have a valid Islamic Will.

What’s out there is worrying. Too often, people are given Wills that don’t hold up legally or leave families with confusion and hardship. It shouldn't be this way.

So we took a different approach.

We sought out those with the longest experience, strongest credibility, and genuine commitment to service. We now use our digital expertise to amplify their work—reaching more Muslims and ensuring every family can access reliable, Sharia-compliant support. We’ve carefully selected a few legal partners known for their professionalism and genuine guidance—not just forms. We’ve also secured consistent pricing, clear processes, and high-quality care for all clients, no matter which partner they’re matched with.

This isn’t just about documents. It’s about duty—protecting your family, fulfilling your faith, and finding peace of mind. By working with Islamic Wills, you’ll receive a high-quality, conscientious service that honours your Islamic obligations.

Barak Allahu feekum

Meet the team behind Islamic Wills

Irfan Akram

Irfan Akram is a purpose-driven strategist with a track record of building impactful, values-led initiatives. Raised in East London, his early experiences shaped a strong sense of community and a deep commitment to helping others—principles that continue to guide his work today.

With over 15 years of experience in education, charity, and digital marketing, Irfan co-founded AdShare, a performance marketing agency that has helped raise millions for Muslim charities. But Islamic Wills is something closer to the heart. Having seen first-hand how inheritance disputes can cause lasting harm, Irfan is driven by a sense of spiritual responsibility to make Islamic estate planning easier, clearer, and more widely adopted.

For him, this project is about more than just service delivery — it’s about restoring trust and fulfilling a sacred obligation. With a calm, reflective approach, Irfan brings strategic clarity, community insight, and a quiet determination to ensure that no Muslim family is left unprepared when it matters most.

Tabassam Rashid

Tabassam Rashid is a community outreach lead with a clear mission: to raise awareness around the importance of Islamic wills within Muslim communities across the UK. His work focuses on building trust at ground level — through mosques, institutes, and local networks — where real-life conversations happen and change begins.

With a warm, approachable style and a deep understanding of the concerns many families face, Tabassam helps people see the value of planning ahead. He’s passionate about ensuring that no one is left unprepared or unaware when it comes to their Islamic obligations around inheritance.

Shaped by a strong sense of community and a life spent between different cultures, Tabassam has a natural ability to connect across backgrounds. His strength lies in listening, relating, and encouraging honest dialogue — often breaking down complex or sensitive issues in ways that feel relevant and accessible.

This project resonates deeply with him. Having seen the confusion and pain caused when families are left without clear guidance, Tabassam is driven by a simple goal: to ensure more Muslims take this step while they still can — for the sake of their loved ones, and for the sake of their akhirah.

Riaz Hussain

Riaz Hussain is a strategic advisor and delivery specialist with deep roots in community service. One of five siblings raised in a working-class household, his upbringing instilled a quiet resilience and an unwavering belief in the importance of family, faith, and responsibility.

Over the past decade, Riaz has worked across the Muslim sector in both leadership and frontline roles – from overseeing large-scale campaigns to delivering aid on the ground. These experiences have shaped a clear approach to service: it must be compassionate, trustworthy, and grounded in real understanding.

With Islamic Wills, Riaz brings this ethos into focus. He plays a central role in building systems that are both scalable and spiritually aligned, helping ensure the service is accessible, efficient, and rooted in the principles it was created to honour. He also sits on the boards of several NGOs, where he advises on digital strategy, campaign delivery, and faith-driven engagement.

Outside of work, Riaz is a health and fitness enthusiast, enjoys exploring property development, and remains (for better or worse) a lifelong Manchester United fan.

Sami Khan

Sami specialises in digital marketing, AI technologies, and CRM systems, bringing a modern and highly efficient approach to the operational backbone of Islamic Wills. His focus is on building seamless digital processes that allow the team to manage client journeys, track cases, and maintain high service standards as the business grows.

With a strong understanding of both technology and client needs, Sami ensures that internal systems remain streamlined, scalable, and fully aligned with the wider service and compliance requirements. His work allows the team to focus on clients while the technology quietly handles much of the operational complexity behind the scenes.

Sami continues to explore emerging AI and automation tools that can further enhance how Islamic Wills operates, always balancing innovation with the need for simplicity, security and client care.

Fulfil a sacred obligation.

"It is prescribed for you, when death approaches any of you, if he leaves wealth, that he make a bequest to parents and close relatives in a fair manner. This is an obligation upon the righteous."

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:180)
